Song Bridge

A songwriting course new songwriters

From seed to studio: write one song you’re proud of, with the option to record it at London Bridge.

If you’ve wanted to write your own song (or finish one), but life keeps getting in the way, you’re in the right place.

This is a small, supportive program for adults who have always had music in them — and want a gentle, structured path from “idea” to “I made this.”

No shredding contest. No shame.

More heart. More song. More momentum.

Who this is for

  • You’re 40+ (or you just feel “late to the party”) and you want to make something you are proud of.

  • You’ve started songs before but don’t often finish

  • You want feedback that’s encouraging and actionable — not harsh or confusing

  • You’d love the experience of recording in a great studio… without it feeling intimidating

What you’ll walk away with

By the end, you’ll have:

  • One signature song with a clear emotional center

  • A simple, studio-friendly plan (tempo, key, form, dynamics, references)

  • A scratch demo that makes recording feel familiar

  • More trust in your instincts — and a way to keep writing after this program ends

And if you choose a studio tier:

  • A real recording experience at London Bridge Studio with a supportive team

  • A baseline mix you can listen to, share privately, or build on

How it works

We meet every two weeks for deep workshop sessions so you have breathing room to write and practice.

I also host an optional online Q&A each week to help you get unstuck.

Session 1 — Song Seeds & Direction
Outcome: 2–3 strong seeds + one clear emotional center.

Session 2 — First Draft Workshop
Outcome: a workable verse/chorus + clear next edits

Session 3 — Arrangement + Practice Recording Lab
Outcome: tempo/key/form locked + a “good enough” recording that reveals what to tighten before the studio.

Session 4 — Online Q&A

Session 5 — Weekly Q&A (Studio Readiness)
Outcome: no surprises — you know exactly what you’re doing on studio day.

Session 6 — Online Q&A

Session 7 Studio Days (studio tier only, 2-days at London Bridge)
Outcome: you capture strong performance takes in a real session.

Session 8 — Online Q&A

Session 9 — Playback Party + Next Steps
Outcome: you learn how to listen, what a baseline mix is, and what options exist (only if you want them).

Session 10 — Reflection + Sharing Plan
Outcome: a simple plan for what happens next — sharing is optional.

A note about sharing and privacy

You don’t have to share your song with anyone. Your studio session will be private with just you, me and the engineer at London Bridge. You can make something meaningful just because it matters to you. If you want to share, I’ll help you choose a path that fits your goals. Could be coaching you to perform at an open mic, private listening party, or an internet release on Bandcamp, Spotify or more.

Lifetime Access to Course Resources

You will get a set of PDFs and videos related to the course to keep creating on your journey:

  • Mental Prep for Songwriting + Recording (nerves, perfectionism, self-talk)

  • Pre-Production One-Sheet (tempo/key/form/influences in one place)
