Production Music Conference: Inspiration Call
I’m honored to be opening the Production Music Conference (PMC) at the Hilton Universal City, Los Angeles, on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 (9 AM).
In this Inspiration Call, I’ll welcome attendees, set the tone for the next few days, and invite everyone to think differently about how we show up—both at the conference and in our creative lives.
What to Expect
This quick keynote session blends storytelling, exercises, and reflection. I want to save a few surprises for the talk, but the goal will be to help you quiet your inner critic so that you approach the conference with renewed confidence and curiosity.
About Dave Hill Jr.
I began as a drummer and songwriter, which led to writing the world’s first book on Ableton Live—a project that opened the door to eight years at Ableton and later five years as VP of Marketing & Sales at iZotope. Along the way, I’ve worked with innovators from Roland to Cycling ’74, guest lectured at universities like Michigan and Carnegie Mellon, and collaborated with artists including Jonathan Plum (Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains), Brad Houser (Eddie Brickell), Shawn Pelton (SNL drummer, Sheryl Crow, Bob Dylan), and Michael Shrieve (Santana).
Today, I’m a late-blooming singer-songwriter releasing music monthly, with airplay on KBCS, and I’m also the author of Doubt Riding Shotgun, a book and audiobook on navigating self-doubt. I coach artists and executives as a Master Integral Coach™ and Certified Enneagram Practitioner, blending creativity, strategy, and heart.
