Quiet the Inner Critic: Real Tools for Confidence, Courage & Creative Action

I’m honored to be presenting this interactive workshop at the FAR-West Folk Alliance Conference on Friday, October 10th from 10:00–11:30 AM.

With storytelling, hands-on exercises, and group discussions, I’ll share practical, repeatable techniques you can use whenever perfectionism, fear, or imposter syndrome shows up.

You’ll leave with:

  • Confidence in your creative voice

  • Courage to take action despite doubt

  • Creative freedom to explore without the critic shutting you down

About the Presenter

I’m an author, coach, and musician based in the Pacific Northwest. My book Doubt Riding Shotgun explores how self-doubt shows up in the creative process—and how to work with it rather than against it.

Before coaching, I spent years as an executive at Ableton and iZotope, working alongside artists and technologists. Today, I help creatives of all kinds quiet the noise, build confidence, and reconnect with their voice.

Why Attend?

This isn’t a lecture—it’s a hands-on, interactive session designed for musicians, songwriters, and creatives who want to move past self-doubt. Expect practical tools you can put to work immediately, plus space to reflect and connect with others at the conference.
